Start with the dimensions that affect the berth
Use the vessel’s length overall, beam and draft. Length overall should include projections that matter to berth allocation. Add the vessel type and whether it is a monohull, catamaran, motor yacht or sailing yacht. A marina still decides suitability for the assigned berth.
Make the dates and stay length clear
State your preferred arrival date, departure date and intended length of stay. If dates can move, say so. Ask the operator whether there is availability for the requested window rather than assuming a general listing means a berth is open.
Ask for the operational details you need
Ask the operator to confirm the allocated berth, approach or arrival instructions, berth depth, shore services and any conditions relevant to your vessel. Request a written offer if you need current charges; this guide does not publish rate estimates.
